Fresh Wax 625
Fresh Wax 625 is diluted with water for use as a storage wax for lemons in California. In this type of application it is also an ideal product for carrying the postharvest fungicides thiabendazole and 2,4-D. The fruit may be waxed by dipping, flooding over rolls in a return system or preferably by spraying onto the fruit as it passes over a bed of rotating brushes. After storage Fresh Wax 625 is easily removed by standard packinghouse washing procedures for the subsequent application of a shine wax.
Fresh Wax 625 is compatible with most postharvest fungicides. While many are not suitable for nor approved for use on all fruit, it has been tested for compatibility with Benomyl, Botran, Captan, Imazalif and Thiabendazole.
