Fresh Foam 28P

Neutral pH detergent cleaner for citrus. Useful for fruit that is clean when brought to the packinghouse. Used 50 - 200:1 (1 gallon makes 50 to 200).

Fungicides and Sanitizers

Postharvest rots are a serious problem for the fresh citrus packer. Fungicides are a major defense against these. Since many organisms ride on the surfaces of the fruit and machinery, sanitizers as part of a regular program are also an important factor.

Fresh Ban T

Thiabendazole fungicide in packages up to 50 pounds. 13.6 ounces in 100 gallons will give 1000 ppm TBZ. TBZ is active against stem-end rot and Penicillium molds. EPA Reg. No. 43410-33-33354

Fresh Ban 4000

Thiabendazole fungicide in unit packages, one unit makes a 4000 ppm suspension in 55 gallons of wax or water. Or filling a large tank at the packinghouse, one package may be used with 220 gallons to make 1000 ppm. EPA Reg. No. 43410-7-33354

Canquat 110

Quaternary ammonium compound formulated sanitizer with 4 active "quats". Concentration 21.9% ai. Excellent for general purpose sanitation in the citrus packinghouse. Acceptable for citrus canker quarantine requirements. (Also EPA registered for Deodorization, Greenhouse & General Purpose Sanitation)

Clor-Fresh

Sodium hypochlorite solution at 10% strength. Provides chlorinated solution for fruit and vegetable washing and other sanitation.
